Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers about Stufy's food, locations, hours, catering and ordering.

What are Stufy's hours?

Stufy's is open Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM and is closed on Sundays. Come early for a full New Mexican breakfast or stop in for lunch.

Where is Stufy's Restaurant located?

We have two Albuquerque locations: 1311 Juan Tabo Blvd NE (505-299-1860) and 1107 Candelaria Rd NW (505-344-1207).

What is a stuffed sopaipilla?

It's our signature dish and the reason we're the Home of the Stuffed Sopaipilla — a pillowy sopaipilla fried fresh from house-made dough, stuffed with your choice of fillings and smothered in authentic red or green chile.

Do you serve red and green chile?

Yes — both our red and green chile are made in house from scratch. Can't decide? Order it "Christmas" to get both on one plate.

Is the food made fresh in house?

Always. From our sopaipilla dough to our red and green chile, everything is made fresh in our own kitchen — never canned, never frozen — the way it's been done since 1968.

Does Stufy's offer catering?

Yes, we cater events of all sizes with bold New Mexican flavor. Visit our catering page or call either location to plan your menu.

Can I order online?

Yes. Juan Tabo accepts online pickup orders through Clover. Candelaria is not yet available for online ordering; call (505) 344-1207 for help.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes — many New Mexican favorites, including cheese-stuffed sopaipillas and bean dishes, can be made vegetarian. Just ask your server.
